What is Asthma?

Asthma is a chronic airway disease that causes inflammation and narrowing of the airways, leading to difficulty in breathing. It often worsens during winters and may flare up due to allergies, infections, or environmental triggers.

Symptoms of Asthma

• Wheezing (whistling sound while breathing)
• Shortness of breath
• Chest tightness
• Chronic coughing, especially at night or early morning
• Increased mucus production

• Chest X-Ray
• HRCT Scan
• Spirometry
• CBC & ESR

Treatment Options

1. Breathing exercises for airway relaxation
2. Inhalers for bronchodilation
3. Rotacaps (depending on severity)
4. Nebuliser therapy as per doctor’s advice
